7	A.Moron on May-04 : Jai: Try to understand and analyse what I wrote. Look at the distributions of finance and industrial projects, licenses, quotas, and subsidies to the States of India since 1951. How any one can do anything for his state when everything in India( even today) are determined by the Central government, which since 1951 is being controlled by a few states ( Gujarat, Maharastra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Hariyana mainly). Why does Maharastra got every financial institutions, moving these from other states? Why all large industrial projects are concentrated in only a few states. Why does a major petroleum-natural gas producer Assam is poor and Gujarat is rich? Do you know what Krishnamachari did in 1955. He has introduced subsidies to equalise prices of all natural resources all over India, so that the natural resource producing states in Eastern India will have to pay the same price for petroleum, coal, coke, iron, jink, copper, mica, wood as Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Maharastra, who have no natural resources. In this way natural advantages of the Eastern India was destroyed. Do you know what YB Chavan, Morarji Desai, Bhutalingam did in 1965. They would not give any government contracts, license, quotas, permit to import to any private sector industries in Eastern India until they move their operations to the Western and Southern India. Later, Maran, and Karunakaran did the same for the automobile industries. VK Krishna Menon moved all defence industries to either Karnataka or Maharastra. Chidambaram gave Rs.2500 Crores just to develop water supply to Madras city, but he gave only Rs.25 Crores for the flood control programmes for the entire Eastern India.

5	A.Moron on May-04 : Modi has little to do with the prosperity of Gujarat, which was pampered since 1947 because two main leaders of the Congress came from Gujarat: Gandhi and BB Patel. Then came the Finance Minister Morarji Desai, and Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission another Desai. They all took lion"s share of the resources of the India government depriving the natural resource producing states all located in Eastern India. All most all financial resources were transferred to Gujarat and Maharastra by Deshmukh, Desai and YB Chavan. Then Indira Gandhi gave monopoly right to Ambani to have oil refinery in the private sector and later Rajib Gandhi and Narasimha Rao sold already discovered oil and gas fields of the ONGC to Ambanis for a nothing. Not only that . Ambanis got even huge subsidies from the Government to develop these oil and gas fields. All profits went to various Gujaratis. If the government had similar policy towards Assam, West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Chatissgarh, Madhya Pradesh, all very poor states now, these states would be just as rich as Gujarat. In the case of Eastern India, since 1951, their natural resources were taken away from them to develop Western and Southern India. The author has completely ignored the history. Modi is having the fruits of the efforts made by all these Gujaratis to take away major resources of India to Gujarat ( and Maharastra).
